  1. A group of employees that you know to be talented and knowledgeable have been slacking for the last month. What methods would you use to figure out what the problem is and correct it.
  2. Describe the corporate culture, and managerial styles at Google, from what was seen in the Internship.
  3. Would Vince Vaughn’s and Owen Wilson’s character have made good leaders in real life? Why?

Ans = slacking in generally means when people work more slowly and with less effort than usual is called slacking so why the employee slack from work there are many reasons why employees slack from the work some of the are as follows.::

  • The work is too difficult, too easy or just a bad fit for the person’s skill set.
  • The person is unmotivated about a certain project or the company as a whole.
  • Sometimes companies haven’t been clear about what they expect from their employees and these lead to frustration among employees and when this happen employees start slacking in work .
  • The person has benefited from the “halo effect” during her lifetime (i.e., others have formed good opinions based on surface qualities, such as looks or charm), and therefore he or she is unfamiliar with hard work.
  • Sometimes managers misread the outward signal, such as messy hair and yawning, as laziness, rather than focusing on the person’s work.
  • The person is afraid of failing, and is either consciously or unconsciously holding back to give him- or herself an excuse if things go wrong .
  • The person has friends in high places at your company, and can get away with slacking off.
  • Work just isn’t a priority, perhaps because the person is dealing with a personal crisis.

There are some things which we can do to find whether employees are slacking or not because we really have to understand this if one person is doing slacking it can bring down company productivity by 30 to 40% and other employees are also follow their coworker . So simply we have get rid of them as soon as possible. so there are some things which we can do to find these problems some of them are as follows :::

  1. The first thing we can to is check employees on regular basis if they are posting stories in instagram ,making non related work phone calls or doing gossips more than 30 minutes we can sure that employee is not doing their work properly . So we have to tell those employees straightly that we have noticed they seem disengaged at work lately, and ask if they're enjoying their job, what they like or don't like about the role, and how they foresee their career path.
  2. We have to set expectations from the employees we have to tell them clearly what is mean you should have a clear set of expectations on what's acceptable according to your company's standards.
  3. Companies also have to look that their managers are just not give orders but also take ideas from their workers so that employee also feel motivated and feel like they are on team which boosts their confidence and overall productivity of company.
  4. The main problem in mant companies that they do not reward their employees and this lead to boredom in employees and they start slacking from their work so the company have to provide some incentives program which makes the moral of employees high .

So lets talk about what are the managerial styles and what is corporate culture of google. When we talk about corporate culture of google we are talking about best corporate culture in the world that we have right now some of the best tgings about corporate culture of google has follow under :

  • They really understand about why employees need flexible timing and schedule and work on their terms to unleash their creativity and a greater level of productivity. They’ve let their employees explore how they’d like to work and given them the freedom within the environment to approach work in a way that suits them. This make google corporate culture true flexible.
  • Have a freedom to creative and fun loving environment you can take naosbin afternoon very causal environment and you can play games and you also doesn't have work till weekends or do overtime .
  • Google provides free food and massages and they really have a great food and lavish slides and floors .
  • You can also bring your dogs to company if you want to because google believe that the dog increase your quality of life which can increase productivity.
  • Then they also offer a plethora of employee perks, including free, organic, chef-prepared meals, free health and dental, hybrid car subsidies, nap pods, video games, ping pong, on-site physicians and more.
