General motors company likes to consider themselves diverse as well as they have a specific management team that ensures they are enriching their business. They strive to recruit the "best and Brightest" which is them saying they would like to have a diverse pool of talent that is globally strategically strong. For example they partner with out in STEM, and Black engineer of the year. Two diverse resources that will allow their employees to shine in these areas throughout their programs. They have recited 2017corporation of the year according to the National Business league. In which 22,421 students participated in the stem activities that year. The business is growing to show people they are a true company that you want to do business with. They are trying to be technologically ahead, but at the same time listen to their consumers about the features they are looking for in their products. Their vision to eliminate crashes and create a safer environment for drivers can bring in a sale, from a family who is looking for technical advanced to keep his family safe, etc. They are involved in what they are making, to create machines that push the limits of consumers eyes.
More companies are into diversity and inclusion now because it helps them to recruit talented employees and grow the business with great reputation. GE has proved to be exceptional in ensuring the well-being of the stakeholders involved. They are trying to recruit the best employees across the globe from the diverse pool of applicants and also provide the best opportunities to ensure career growth. GE also has taken significant effort to close the gender gap by encouraging women to fill the STEM roles at GE. It is true that they take care of their customers and always try to develop the best products understanding the consumer preferences. Technological advancement is necessary to stay competitive in the industry and also to develop high quality products. But at the same time the company should consider the customer requirements and develop equipments or machines that are consumer friendly.
