A vanadium complex has a molecular weight of 315.083g/mol and it can be assumed that the complex is octahedral. The complex has a 1:2 Vanadium to Oxalate ratio and the vanadium metal is in a +4 oxidation state. As well as vanadium and oxalate ligands there may also be ammonium ions, amine ligands, oxo ligands, aqua ligands and water of hydration present.

a) Using this information suggest an emiprical formular for the compound

b) Suggest a possible molecular formula for your complex. This should show the square brackets around the complex cation or anion
