Discuss the importance of developing SMART goals as opposed to regular goals.
SMART goals break a complex process into smaller constituents making it more accessible and achievable as part of a group process. The fact that most methods fail to return the required output can be linked to their outlook, more specifically how setting unrealistic targets and goals can lead to vagueness and loss of direction and, therefore, a waste of resources.
SMART is an acronym for Specific, measurable, achievable,

thereby, controlling all possible outcomes for the situation. As an
added effect, management using the SMART goal can prepare better
for contingencies.
