Post an explanation of whether you believe the Interpersonal Psychotherapy approach is utilized differently when addressing personality and/or mood disorders.
How is this different than other therapeutic approaches, and how might this impact how you conceptualize a client?
Usually, treatment for most personality and mood disorders usually involves a course of psychological therapy. This therapy lasts at least six months, and can be longer, depending on the intensity of the disorder and other coexisting conditions.
Interpersonal therapy (IPT) is a time-limited therapy that is rooted on the principle that interpersonal relationships, or the way we relate to other people, significantly impacts our mental health. Appointments are scheduled once a week, usually in a mental health clinic or primary care setting.
During IPT, the therapist will explore any negative issues associated with the patient’s interpersonal relationships and how these issues can be fixed. For instance, when dealing with a patient suffering with bipolar the therapist assists the client to cope with difficult or uncomfortable feelings, repair interpersonal relationships, handle stress, and regulate mood. Several personality disorders may be associated with feelings of low self-esteem, anxiety and self-doubt, caused by problems interacting with people i.e. having issues in personal relationships.
An IPT therapist supports and congratulates the client when they make progress and offers sympathy when things don’t go as planned. During these times, the therapist brainstorms solutions and utilizes role play to prepare the client for future situations.

How would you respond to this post? Several problems can arise when evaluating divisions that have different accounting methods. The second problem is the accuracy of net profits based on the accounting methods used by each division (Schneider, 2017). The...
