US is already one of the most active members to safeguard its citizens from worldwide epidemics and implements measures quickly if there is any threat. However in this case of the mexico border, the government is not providing flu vaccines to immigrants who are crossing the border, this is especially prevalent in border detention camps. The government should definitely provide vaccines and check for other viruses so that the person does not transmit it to others, as at least 3 children have already died because of flu. It has not employed health personnel at the borders and expects military to supervise on health check up if undertaken, which is not possible as they are not competent enough. This leads to many children getting diseases because of weaker immune systems. Plus there are un hygienic conditions in several of the camps which leads to increase in communicable diseases. Thus in order to prevent spread of diseases and ensure human safety is not sacrificed no matter which country they belong to, the government should start valuing human life and address measures to be undertaken to safeguard humans and provide vaccinations. It is not addressing the public about these threats and should do more to safeguard human health.
