A correlation is mainly used in order to find a comparison between two or more elements. In a very simple format, the relationship or connection between two attributes is compared between two elements when there is a change in their status. The correlation can be represented in three formats. First is -1 which indicated no correlation, 0 having some degree of effect while 1 represents the strong correlation.
Practical use:-
Use 1:- In industries or corporate, the correlation can be used in order to determine the effect of improved working condition on the performance of an employee. This can be done by changing the various elements of the working conditions which may include ventilation, flexitime, freedom to work, safety and security and so on and how any kind of changes in any one of these factors can affect the performance of an employee.
Use 2:- Correlation can be used by the managers in order to determine the efficiency of the current production processes and to look for the various other alternatives which can not only improve the efficiency but can also save a lot of money. If in the analysis, it is found that by the management that by using a certain type of material, the cost of production increases, then this correlation analysis can motivate the management to look for the other alternatives of this material which can result in decreased production cost.
