Gravitational constant = G = 6.67 x 10-11 N.m2/kg2

Gravitational acceleration on Earth = g = 9.81 m/s2

Weight of the cat on Earth = We

Mass of the cat = m

We = mg

76 = m(9.81)

m = 7.75 kg

Mass of Jupiter = M = 1.9 x 1027 kg

Radius of Jupiter = R = 7.15 x 107 m

Weight of the cat on the surface of Jupiter = W

The gravitational force exerted by Jupiter on the cat when it is on the surface of Jupiter is equal to the weight of the cat.

W = 192.1 N

Weight of the cat on the surface of Jupiter = 192.1 N
