A pilot in a small plane encounters shifting winds. He flies 26.0 km northeast, then 45.0 km due north. From this point, he flies an additional distance in an unknown direction, only to find himself at a small airstrip that his map shows to be 70.0 km directly north of his starting point.
What was the length of the third leg of his trip?
Express your answer in kilometers.

What was the direction of the third leg of his trip?
Express your answer in degrees.

i am in college physics 1.

So far I have drawn out and have done..

dx= 26Cos(45)= 18.38
dy=45Sin(90)=45

Not sure if it is correct but I do not know where to go from there! Thank you.
