Electronic Communications Privacy Act- It is a federal statute in the U.S. prohibiting the disclosing or intercepting of any electronic communication by a third party without authorization. The act applies to private citizens and government employees. It is made for all the communication that is in transit and in storage. This law was enacted for extending government restrictions on wire taps from telephones calls to include electronic data transmitted by computer. It also added prohibited the access to stored data by adding new provisions. It includes the protection of all oral, wire and electronic communication while they are in transit.
Distributive justice- It refers to the equal allocation of the goods in the society. It includes the just distribution of goods such as the goods are available in sufficient quantities, the process of distribution of goods and the allocation resulted from the distribution in the society. It focuses on outcomes. It is based on distributive norms which are equity, equality, power, need and responsibility It depends on efficiency and productivity. Performances are enhanced to bring justice to distribution in the society. An example of the reallocation of resources for distributive justice framework is post-apartheid South Africa.
- Landrum- Griffin Act- Also known as Labor-Management Reporting and Disclosure Act of 1959 to regulate the internal affairs of labour unions and officials and their employers. In the law, the elections were secretly held by the unions and reviewed by the department of labour, union members are given guarantees of freedom of speech and protected against abuses, unions submit financial reports annually to the DOL, the union officer acts as the fiduciary in conducting affairs of the union. The act covers the unions and the workers covered by National Labour Relations Act.
Unfair Labor Practice Strike- It is the strike by employees on employers for protesting an unfair labour practice. The employees protesting through these strikes are called unfair labour practice strikers. These strikers cannot be permanently replaced or discharged. The strikers are entitled to have their jobs back on the end of the strike. If the request made by them is unconditional and the reinstatement has been denied by the employer, the board awards these strikers with back pay of the time they ought to be reinstated.
