Among the three income groups, upper income group had the largest increase in gym membership from 2012 to 2014. The reason is simple. Because they had more money. Gym services were expensive during 2012-2014 and only upper income groups could afford that. During that period, the growth rate observed of Fitness Industry was 2.6%. The share of upper income in this was major.

If measured in percentage terms, again upper income groups experienced the highest increase in their incomes between 2012-2014. The income of upper groups rose by 42.9% while the incomes of middle and lower income groups increased by 33 and 30 % respectively.
