Data Communications
1.
What is the “hidden node” problem, and what do you need to do about it in the best LAN design for wireless?
2.
What is the difference in a logical and physical topology?
Answer 1
***********
Hidden node means it can communicate with access point but it is out of reach from other nodes or can not directly communicate with each other this problem generally occur in wireless , in LAN there are all nodes are connected with each other directly except that node is turn off.
Answer 2

PHYSICAL TOPOLOGY |
LOGICAL TOPOLOGY |
|
Refer to how a network look and functions. |
Fashion in which data travels logistically. |
|
Bus, star, ring and mesh topologies. |
Logical bus and the logical ring. |
|
Physical connections of cables and devices. |
Path traveled by data in a network. |
|
Cost, scalability, flexibility, bandwidth capacity, etcetera. |
Data delivery causing lost packets or congestion. |

Design a Logical Topology with the following constraints: Material Constraints: 2x 24-Port, Layer 3 Network Switches 1x Edge Router (connected out to the local LAN, the external RV215W LAN, and the WAN - 3 total connections) 2x Wireless Access Points 1x Cisco RV215W (connected to the edge router to allow LAN communication from another building) 30 total network devices (these will determine your total subnets/VLANs and subnet scopes): 10 VoIP phones 4 Executive computers 2 Administration computers 2 Finance computers...
