1. Here it is seen that patient has completely lost the short term memory while the long term memory is intact. This is very similar to a type of dementia seen in Alzheimer’s disease. Hence the possible diagnosis based on the information presented is Alzheimer’s disease. It is the entorhinal cortex and hippocampus part of brain that is getting damaged here.
