An example of each terminology mentioned is as under:

1. Social category diversity-these are differences among members in a social category such as race or gender this can result to reduced relationship focus. EXAMPLE:

Religious diversity can be taken to be one of the most common examples. There are many entities belonging to various religions and in many places people belonging to different religions stay together. Such kind of religions contribute significantly to the social category diversity like temples, churches and mosques.

2. Team Structure-this is a grouping of a team based on who performs specific projects and this ensures best coverage is achieved. EXAMPLE:

A team structure for a organizing a particular seminar where people are teamed up and the responsibilities are divided, like, certificate printing, fooding, lodging for guests, arrangements for inaugural and closing ceremony etc.

3. Informational diversity-difference in knowledge and perceptions that team members possess and bring along in the team. EXAMPLE:

A team of people working at a corporate office for a project where one person is an engineer, one is an MBA, one has a degree in commerce etc. Each of these can give their own informational benefits to the team as required and the project can be carried on.

4. Fault line-these are hypothetical lines that split a group into one or more subgroups based on individual performance outcomes. EXAMPLE:

A group of two young female Asians and two experienced male Americans.
