In choice reaction time, the subject is presented with two or more stimulus. Then the subject has to respond by giving out one of the two or more responses, that is, a different response for each of the stimulus. Thus, the choice reaction time includes the time taken by the subject to discriminate between the two stimulus which is known as the discrimination time, and the times taken by the subject to select which response to make which is known as motor choice time. This is his b-reaction.
Thus the formula for choice reaction time/b-reaction is:
b-reaction = stimulus input time + decision time + discrimination time + motor choice time + motor response time
