Consider two types of divorce laws. Law A allows either the husband or the wife to obtain a divorce without the other person’s consent. Law B permits a divorce only if both parties agree to it. Will there be more divorces under law A or law B, or will there be the same number of divorces under both laws? Why?

Theoretically one can say that law A will lead to more divorces. This is because many divorces don't happen due to difficulty of obtaining divorce from other partner who is not ready to accept divorces. They either do so to Aviod embarrassment, or want to punish other partner etc. But this doesn't mean that this type of law is good since it can result in more emotional torture
