Richard Felson states that violence can be used to achieve a number of specific goals. List and describe the four goals presented by Felson. Critique Felson's goals. There are numerous causes behind violence as mentioned by Richard Fson. Such reasons include:

1. Tendency of sexual assault : There are many people who have tendency to rape women. So, they take violent steps to rape.

2. To obtain money: The drug addicted are involved in criminal activities to obtain money for buying drug.

3. Domestic violence: For unequal martiage there appears donestic problems. There appears conflict of ideals. It causes violence and mainly men try to preserve their dominance by violence.

4. Cross border terrorism: The terrorist groups cross border and kill others to create a reign of terror.

His goals are limited. His goals do not include all the motives of violance. Other reasons are:

• To eliminate discrimination
• As means of protest against injustice
• To oppose any policy
