Justify Your Choices: The Roots of Militancy
Discussion Question:
Consider common misperceptions of Islam. How have these
misperceptions arisen? What, if anything, do you think can be done
to reverse the confusion?
Well there are actually many misconceptions about Islam. Some feel that all those who follow this religion are terrorists or belong to some sort of terror seeking clan. Many also feel that in Islam men usually marry 3 times and it is quite normal for them doing so. But these things should not be a good approach in judging people. Each one of us is different and comes from a new or variant culture. we need to respect these differences and accept the people in our life for who they are and try to be at peace with it. We should try to seek the good in them and learn from them. We should be mature and practical enough to not judge things on its face value or by what others say. Instead we should try to look for the truth on our own. We need to understand islam and the beauty of this religion. We need to take it to next steps and phases to understand the real meaning behind islam.
