Look carefully again at the criteria for both obscene and indecent speech. Do you agree that restricting these two kinds of speech is in our public interest, or do you think – as some libertarians do – that neither type ought to be restricted and that any “filtering” or “blocking” at all ought to remain the prerogative of individual citizens (and never the business of government)?

In my opinion, both obscene and indecent speech should be the business of the government because they both would cause more confusion and conflict among people. For example, if two people engage in using obscene or indecent speech, they might engage in verbal and physical assaults. This might lead to more rivalries among their families and friends thus, would soon become a big issue. Besides, in order to facilitate a better social experience, government should ban using these speeches because children would learn things from the elders and other people who listen to these speeches would feel uncomfortable which would also violate their peaceful life in the society.
