Why is education important?

Education is one of the most important weapons one could possess in order to raise one’s status in the society. It was education which brought the necessary changes in the society. This would mean that education doesn’t only help one earn a living but would also help one how to live. Education helps people earn the necessary subject knowledge which would make one employable to earn a living. Teachers on the other hand, instill the values and attitudes needed for leading a better life. People who are educated would be able to gain more exposure and experience and this would help them gain a better understanding about other people. There would be people from multiple background in an educational institution as there would be lots of group and pair tasks that would provide more exposure to one. Education would prepare one for one’s future job by helping them develop the necessary skills, knowledge and interpersonal skills. Education would provide one with the much-needed opportunity to better understand oneself and understand the expected roles one needs to play at home, at the job and in the society. Finally, it would help one the much needed ability to understand the healthy living and emotional stability as one would learn to tolerate others and appreciate others.
