3) You’re out mountain hiking and stop to take a break. You set your backpack down and look around enjoying the scenery. An unknown person leaps out from behind some bushes and grabs and tosses your backpack off the mountain. The individual then yells in your direction and stomps along the trail towards you. Which crimes described in this chapter, if any, have the person committed?
Ans 3) This is the case of personal crime. Personal crimes are those crimes which harm the other person either physically or mentally and here it can be seen that during the mountain hiking when that person stopped to take a break an unknown person leaps out from behind some bushes and grabs and tosses his backpack off the mountain and then yells in his direction and stomps along the trail towards him. It was like that unknown person wanted to harm him and so he yelled in his direction. Therefore as the person wanted to harm the other person so this is a case of personal crime.
