Answer #1

Lifespan development is the enire journey of the living beings from their birth to death. Puberty, taking birth, infancy, childhood, adolescence, youth, early adulthood, middle age, getting old/ decline and death are the stages in general in the lifespan development.

It incorporates the physiological, cognitive, psychological, emotional, cultural and social changes in the context of the living being/ an individual.

Paul Baltes pioneered the concept of lifespan.

The influences in the development can be categorised as normative and non normative wherein normative refers to age and history allied aspects and non normative relates to exclusive/ particular instances/ events occuring with an individual.

Nature vs. nurture debate is very relevant to lifespan development which indicates that their are genetic factors responsible for development and other hand environment also contributes to thus phenomenon.

A good way to go for the lifespan studies is naturalistic observation. People/ human beings can be observed and studied in the most obvious/ natural manner.

For example, how do children learn language gradually can be comprehended using naturalistic observation.
