Hardest part of an overseas assignment for me was understanding a new culture, understanding new language, their values, society and food. When you move to a new country which you have not seen in the past, you get cultural shock most of time and therefore understanding local culture, language and customizing yourself with local food becomes a challenge. You have to face issue in sorting basic things as you don’t understand their language, your way of approaching things to a situation is different than their other, these things is hardest as there is no one book which you can read and become expert, these things take time, you learn from your experience which takes time.

Easiest part of an overseas assignment is obviously the work responsibilities, as you are already expert in doing similar things in your previous role so work become easiest thing which you can start delivering from day 1.
