(i) NetBIOS,

(ii) LMhosts,

(iii) Wins.

The differences among them are:

NetBIOS	LMhosts	Wins
(i) NetBIOS was developed in 1983.	(i) LMhosts was developed in later 2000.	(i) Wins was developed before LMhosts and after NetBIOS.
(ii) NetBIOS is the protocol used for name resolution by WINS.	(ii) LMhosts is used when Wins fails.	(ii) Wins is the naming resolution used for flat naming structure.
