Food companies have often been accused of targeting children with adverts for unhealthy products such as fast food, confectionery, and snacks. The task is to determine the extent of such targeting, and its appropriateness. Record three hours of tv programming on saturday morning and note the details of all the adverts, the product, the advertiser, and the target.

  • Advertising companies are approaching various known faces for their advertisements which is on of the main reason that children Fantasise.
  • In the advertisement they prove that their product is produced with complying all the regulations of the food act.But the negatives of the product are not highlighted (example-fat content.nutrition levels etc)
  • The main target these days is kids.They are using various cartoons and impressing them.
  • These commercials prompt kids to crave these unhealthy items.
  • Some researchers speculate that advertising geared to children--which largely consists of ads for sugary cereals, candy and fast-food restaurants--may be contributing to the increase in childhood obesity by promoting unhealthy foods.
