The seven step planning process that should be followed by Amanda should comprise of:-

1. Establish Organization Vision: Amanda should work on setting up the organization vision and mission which is to be taken further down the line in a span of 3 to 5 years.
2. She should develop a 3-5 year strategic plan based on the vision and mission of the company that is decided by Amanda in the first step.
3. Annual objectives must be developed by Amanda from the 3-5 year plan that is being developed by Amanda.
4. As per the requirements of the annual objectives and the strategic plan Departments must be deployed as well as plans must be developed by her and targets must be set.
5. Implementation would be the next step i.e. what ever was planned has to be implemented in the given span of time.
6. After the plan implementation regular reviews must be conducted by her on monthly as well as quarterly basis.
7. And finally based on the progress made during the year an annual review must be done.

Coombs identified three types of crisis clusters i.e.

1. Victim Cluster: The organization is also the victim of the crisis. These are generally caused by external agents, false information, Current or former workforce employees.
2. Accidental Cluster: The organization action which leads to crisis are totally unintentional i.e. Things like technological failure, equipment failure.
3. Intentional Cluster: In this situation the organization knowingly placed people at risk and took inappropriate actions or may have even violated a law.
