Yes, IQ should be used for education purposes.
For starters, it is important to administer intelligence tests and learn the cognitive capabilities of children in order to help them better. For children who are much ahead of their age's, the mental capability will be able to receive the level of education they need according to their ability. Similarly, the education needs of children who lack in cognitive areas can be addressed by knowing where they lack in and what can be done to improve their abilities. This is win-win. Those who do well will do better and those who don't will be able to learn how to do better. But, the results of an IQ test should not be the only factor to evaluate intelligence. Dynamic tests and assessments should be implemented and thoroughly analyzed to address the actuals needs of the children.
