Metaphysics is defined as the nature of reality or said differently, what we know. How do you define the nature of reality? Secondly, how would you describe your own thinking regarding a mechanistic versus vitalistic view of reality mentioned in the articles? Which view do you think is best?
Nature of Reality generally seek to explain inherent or universal elements of reality which are not easily discovered or experienced in day to day life. As such, it is concerned with explaining the features of reality that exist beyond the physical world and our immediate senses. It also explains the relationship between mind and matter, between substance and attribute and between potentiality and actuality. There are two types of reality, subjective reality and objective reality.
My own thinking is related to vitalistic rather than mechanistic. It is based on contemporary scientific principle that emerged out of quantum physic and the personality theory that has given by Carl Jung is also closely related to the object entanglement and how the coincidence also related to it. It will give a nice idea about it. It views the universe as a living system which is very much acceptable. According to this view that whole is greater than the sum of parts. As for example, if we think in such a way that if a mirror breaks down and we try it to fix altogether still it will not be the whole, some parts will be wasted, same like energy concept also. and according to it disease seen as a process, manifestation of underlying disharmony which can be related to the stage of equilibrium or the excited stage. If it is in that excited stage, it will take time to be fine and being in an excite stage only, the ion is unstable same like inner state of disharmony. I would like to describe in this way for the supporting of answer.
According to me,Vitalistic view is the best because it will help to understand the real condition and to make connections or to find out the reason for any problems which itself is very good for counseling and it has a strong basis of proof wityh the real world.
