In today's age of information and see social media, online privacy has become very important. At the end of March,2012 there were 901 active Facebook users. On the other social media sites like Twitter , Instagram and you tube as well, there are number of ways for the privacy to be compromised. There have been frequent cases where the private data has been dhares with out the proper permit of doing so.

Now a days online providers are specific on their privacy strategies. The trust on E business and commerce fepedep completely on privacy and security online.

In 2010 , total online privacy stealing cases were 662 and in 2011 it was 419. In the recent years online privacy issue for the institutions and the individuals has become more serious as the number of incidents has increased from 783 to 984 in 2016.

Some important online privacy issues are (a) Intellectual property reselling. (b) Web activity correctness

The non market actions that can be taken to address these and other online privacy issues are :

(1). Use a strong password and change it after every few days.

(2) . Do not use the same password at mulitipl sites.

(3) Before you start an online process, do a thorough study of FAQs.

(4). In online process avoid the disclosure of private data.

(5) Check the site's authenticity and also it's URL.
