The Code Red computer worm which has 3 pages:
Days 1-19 of the month it tries to spread itself by looking for the IIS servers and systems for exploit
Days 20-27 of the month the worm launches the denial of service on the fixed IP addresses
Days 28-till the end of the month it sleeps and there are no active attacks.

This work was discovered on the Internet on the date of July 15, 2001. The Code Red computer worm can be mitigated using several types of controls such as updating the networking components such as routers and other devices and software, blocking the Code Red Worm at network ingress points using the networking application and also using the Access Control Lists (ACLs).
