A PDCA cycle is a systematic process of resolving issue and improving the processes. The improvements made are not sudden, but gradual. This ensures the change is sustained. Hence, the said improvement cannot be done in one or two days.
However, three years time duration is too large. The improvement may loose it's importance and the initiative may be entirely lost. Thus, three months is a suitable time period for this improvement project.
