target company is the principal as it leases its retail locations, land, warehouses, office space land etc. the assets which are given on capital lease are included in property plant and equipment. the company generates revenue from this as commission of dollar 44 million. all this shows that the company is principal not an agent as it has this leased assets as its property. and this commission income is increasing year on year. the stores of target owned building on leased land for 160 million dollar.
