Answer #1

Tonicity - It is a measure of osmotic pressure gradient

Tonicity is influenced only by solutes that cannot cross membranes because those are the exert effective osmotic pressure

solutes that produce Tonicity doesn’t cross cell membrane

osmosis - It is a spontaneous net movement Of solvent molecules through the selectivly permeable membrane into the region of higher concentration

Solvent molecules that exert osmosis is crossed through the cell membrane by diffusion process

Endocytosis - it is a cellular process in which substances are brought into the cell.

Transportation process By endocytosis occurs through clathrin mediated invagination pinocytosis

plasmolysis - cells lose water from them into the hypertonic solution

this process occurs due to the gap between cell wall And cell membrane when placed in hypertonic solution

Please summarize this chapter typed clearly. Diffusion Is a passive process of transport. A single substance tends to move from an area of high concentration to an area of low concentration until the concentration is equal across a space. Facilitated transport Facilitated diffusion is the process of spontaneous passive transport of molecules or ions across a biological membrane via specific transmembrane integral proteins. Channels The integral proteins involved in facilitated transport are collectively referred to as transport proteins, and they...
