A car’s convex rearview mirror has a radius of curvature equal to 15.0 meters. What is the

magnification, type (real or imaginary) and location of the image that is formed by an object

that is 10.0 m from the mirror? Please include a clear drawing of the optical components and 3

different principal rays.

Can someone show me how to do this drawing? I am very confused, so please make it detailed and make sure to include 3 different principal rays!

Answer #1

As we know that;

Here,

R= 15 m

f= R/2 = 7.5 cm

Then,

v= 4.2857 m

magnification= -3/7 = 0.42857 .......Answer
