Answer - I would say , yes , parental divorce is damaging to their children's development in the way that children don't get love and care of both parents then which is very crucial . Like some acts for children can be done by father only and not mother and some acts can be done only by mother and not father . So both father and mother are important . Children may become violent and may not be very much social . Children may become depressed as they miss one of their parents to whom they used to share their important things .

Children of small and young age who are like school goers are impacted the most by the divorce because they are not self independent , they don't earn so they need their both parents at this moment . Mothers care a lot for their children while father takes care of monetary expense of their children so both parents are important at this stage .
