In order for managers to respond effectively to environmental or organizational pressures that can be disruptive to an organization, they must implement clear intervention strategies. In a 1,000-1250 word paper, propose a change plan to respond to the most significant pressures affecting the organization represented in your Pressures for Change assignment from Topic 2. Include the following:

  1. Review the organizational/environmental pressures you presented in your initial paper: Determine which pressure is most important to address at this time in order to maintain a competitive and viable company. Summarize the pressure and how the organization is currently being affected. Project the outcome for the organization if it fails to address the pressure.
  2. Develop a change vision to respond to the organizational or environmental pressure: The vision must define the organizational change and resonate with the decision making and strategies proposed in the paper. Additionally, the vision must include a cognitive and affective component in order to help stakeholders understand how to achieve the goals and to inspire and motivate them to engage in the change.
  3. Develop a change model to implement your change vision. Identify the specific steps needed to implement a change and effectively respond to the pressure. Describe a strategy for implementing each step.
  4. Evaluate the potential resistance from stakeholders. Discuss the reasons for the resistance, at what point the resistance will likely occur, and some strategies for overcoming the resistance.

Answer-1.

There are various internal and external factors that affects an organization's operations. And every organization gets pressure from its internal and external environment Like-

  • Pressure from shareholders.
  • Pressure from Suppliers.
  • Pressure from Labor unions
  • Pressure from changing Government policies.
  • Pressure form Employees
  • Pressure form Customers.
  • Pressure form competitors.

Although each of the above mentioned pressure has its own significance and is must to handle by the organization in a timely manner but as per my knowledge there is one factor/ pressure that an Organization need to handle and maintain each and every time to remain competitive and Viable and that pressure is Pressure of Constant Change and Innovation.

Our nature is changing constantly and along with that the creation of the nature like human, climate, etc. also change along with time. So if any organization wants to rum smoothly and work successfully, it has to change and innovate its activities to provide the product or services to the market as per the market's changing needs. Constantly changing requirements of the consumers requires an Organization to be more adaptive to the innovation and flexibility. As the constant change itself is a wide term, it acquires all the other factors in itself only. Innovation is something that everyone like and admires to. Organization need to be a little more strategic while making its future plans rather than just focusing on the day to day activities.

Any Organization hat is rigid to the change and work on its traditional methods only may loose its identity in the market. Let us take an Example of Kodak which was very popular firm in past for camera rolls but due to its rigidity towards the digital world, it became a forgotten name. As the company did not give preference to the changing needs of the market, market changed their preferred brand. so, if an Organization fails to address the Pressure of Constant change, it may result in the following consequences-

  • Organization kicked out of market by its competitors.
  • Movement of reliable customers to some other brand.
  • A huge profit cut during the session of rigidity to change.
  • Non consideration by the market.
