Their use of social media allows them to generate the response they need, support from all the other organizations as well as to collect donations directly through the platform.

Yes, in the same manner, we can say that raising awareness and raising money can be correlated to each other in terms of their end goal. Raising awareness generates the necessary push the organization might need to add value to their services and reach father in terms of audience and potential donors. The end goal essentially is to generate enough awareness in the population so that the cause has real support and does not need to rely on any half measures.
