Hello I'm Vikrant
A.1 Memory is the faculty of the brain by which data or information get in or out through a process, this process is same for all types of memory { EX = Working memory, Short term memory{STM}, Long term memory{LTM}, etc }.
PROCESS = First Encoding the data -- Second Storing the data -- Third Retrieve when needed
If the data or information stored for a long time it's simple called Long Term Memory { LTM refers to the storage of information over an extended period and you can remember when needed, then it is long-term memory.
Strengthening the memories already formed within LTM:-(a) Meditation improves the mental stability and for mindfulness,
(b) Structure and Organize:- if the information is structured and organized the way we want it better to remember for a long time,
(c) Utilize Mnemonic Device:- Helping for recall better, for ex - you might associate a term you need to remember with a common item that you are very familiar with like u heard your school friend name you recall his/her face or vise-versa.
(d) Elaborate and Rehearse: This is very good strengthening techniques to recall information when needed rehearse mean repeat information again and again in the continuum.
(e) Drink Coffee to improve your memory consolidation.
TIP:- Chew gum to make stronger memories, it increases activity in the hippocampus an important area of the brain memory. The theory said there also increases oxygen in the hippocampus from chewing gum.
Thank You.
What is the process of building upon LTM and/or strengthening the memories already formed within LTM?
