NATURE OF OF ATP:-

  • ATP is Adenosine triphosphate.
  • It is a complex organic compound which act as a energy provider to the cells by various process. ATP stable in aqueous solutions i.e. pH value between 6.8- 7.4.

ATP molecule consist of three components:-

  • Ribose at the center is a sugar molecule.
  • Adenine base ring of carbon and nitrogen atoms attached to one side of Ribes.
  • Phosphate group attached to other side of sugar.

The amino acid most likely found in a protein site that interacts with the triphosphate portion of ATP is:-

Myosin:-

  • Myosin is the amino acid of protein which interacts with the triphosphate portion of the ATP.
  • Myosin hydrolyze ATP.
  • Myosin is the most abundant protein.
  • Myosin is first discovered in muscle in the 19th century.
  • Myosin is mostly found in muscles.
