The question is:
How many different sums of money can be made using one or more of a penny, a nickel, a dime and a quarter?
My question is:
I was thinking that this was a permutation problem and since I can use one or more that permutation would be P(4,4) = 24. However, that was incorrect. My second idea was that it is a combination problem because the sums have to be different.

21. How many different sums of money can you make with three pennies, a nickel, a dime, and two quarters?
You have a penny, a nickel, a dime, a toonie, and a loonie. How many different (non-zero) sums of money can you produce?
In how many different ways can 5 tosses of a coin yield 2 heads and 3 tails? I know I can just list all the possibility and it wouldn't be hard. But I want to know how to solve this problem by using combination or permutation because it will be more complicated if the number of tosses increase. Please help me to solve this problem with COMBINATION OR PERMUTATION.
please reply to this post & ask one question regarding this post: The difference between values and beliefs can sometimes blur into one another. A belief is something someone uses from their own experience and applies it to a future scenario. A belief can be seen as unchanging or difficult to change. Value, however, refers to a broader principle that is applicable to not just one individual but society as a whole. For example, a value that we all hold...

1. How many different ways can you have r numbers 1 sum up to a number n? These are called compositions of a number n and it is easy to calculate from our understanding of binomial coefficients. So the number of compositions of 4 into 3 parts will be 1+1+2, 1+2+1, and 2+1+1. Note how we think of 1+1+2 and 1+2+1 as different-because in the first case, the first number is 1, second is 1 and third is 2, while...
