b. what mass of CaF2 will result if all the water is evaporated from a 1.0 L sample of 0.70 ppm fluoridated water?

a) The mass of F- is calculated:

mg F = 0.70 mg / L * 1 L = 0.70 mg

b) The mass of CaF2 is calculated:

mg CaF2 = 0.70 mg / L * 1 L * (70 mg CaF2 / 2 * 20 mg F-) = 1.225 mg
