In chemistry, how come in some volumetric experiments it is preferable to dispense at least 10mL and less than 50 mL of a reagent from a buret? Why is it more preferable than delivering a volume that is more than 50mL or less than 10mL?
50 mL burettes have the highest resolution. 0.050 mL out of 50 mL is 0.1%, and that's about maximum precision that we can get from volume measurement when using Maximum 50 ml and minimum 10 mL burette.
