I went on a job interview. I got the job. After thinking about it realized it does not make sense to change schools for the same pay. My school got the call that I accepted another assignment. I told my payroll department I did not want to switch jobs. How do I write a letter to the job that hired me, and I am not accepting the job.? However, if they have available a paraeducator position will except that job as currently I am an adult assistant without benefits?

Answer #1

When we need to inform them that we are not willing to accept the job if the job has same benefits we are having now and we would accept it if they can provide the position of a paraeducator with benefits, we need to explain them the position we are doing in the current school and why it would not be appropriate to leave the job if they offer same position and benefits. We can inform them what position we expect and the benefits we want with that position and can directly inform them that we would accept that job only when they are provided . In such situations we need to be open and must put our opinion in front of them without hesitation so that they can understand our rejection . The letter needs to be formal with all the points mentioned yet precise. It needs to be well written being addressed to the head of recruitments or HR .
