Intellectual Disability (ID) talks about problems which remains concerned with intellectual functioning. A person with ID finds difficulties in reasoning activities. He also face problems in learning something. Everyday practical skills also become negatively affected due to such disabilities.

Such types of disabilities can raise before the age of 18. These disabilities may arise in a person's life due to several factors. These factors may be physical barriers or some other genetic factors. Social factors are also responsible for this.

A person with intellectual disability has lower IQ such as with the value of 70. Such persons face various problems in life. They find difficulties in remaining organised. They also face clumsiness in their daily activities. They find difficulties in following up of directions.

They also feel lethargic in paying attention to some task. If early identification of such disability is being done then new skills can be taught to person with such difficulties. Family support play main role in it. A kind attitude with such persons makes them emotionally strong.

We should interact with them in a normal way. Their weakness should not overshadow their personality. Help should not be imposed on them, it should be offered to them. Use of simple words makes communication effective with such persons. Use of short sentences also helps a lot.
