Probably one of the most noticeable businesses in my area that survived and thrived during good and bad economic times that I have observed is Aldi. Aldi used to be known for its "cheap and low-quality food, in addition to low customer service level". This differentiation helped Aldi thrive during the economic decline (recessions) since people were looking for ways to save money and not focusing too much on service and/or quality products.

However, Aldi had evolved, still offer lower priced though. Now you can find all-natural product, gluten free section, organic items, and fresher produce. So, Aldi evolved to meet the growing needs for healthier and diverse commodities while appealing to the newer generation that emphasizes on "less waste", meaning they prefer smaller, friendly, and more efficient stores over huge but expensive ones.

I believe Aldi has a great business model that is adaptable, flexible, diverse, and appealing.

Answer: I feel that one of the most innovative business idea that has a unique strategy id of Uber. Uber has changed the entire car rental market. The company has taken advantage of the development of information technology to create a service that not only makes lives of millions of people across the Globe comfortable but it also provides job opportunities to millions of cab drivers. Using Uber is more economical and convenient as compared to owning a car. It offers economical and efficient services to people who cannot afford a car. For young people and students Uber is a great alternative to car ownership.

The customers now no longer have to go for searching taxis and bargaining prices with them. Now just while sitting at home or even at an unknown city, a customer can book a cab that will come at the doorstep by the company’s App. Uber has really created value for the society by enhancing economic activity and at the same time creating a cost effective service. I feel that Uber is an excellent example of how innovation and technology can help in creating a useful service and scaling it up at the Global level without heavy investment.
