Compare and contrast the development of a WBS in traditional project management versus development in an agile environment.
In traditional project management, the project’s plans and estimated are made once only and the minute details of the project are adjusting as the project goes along and evolves. Project managers, rather than working with their team to facilitate their creativity, to navigate obstacles, and to provide leadership and mentoring, are often involved in adjusting charts and graphs and task lists to ensure that the development of the project is according to the plans.
How ever, in agile environments, every step of the project is thought of right before taking it and not planned before the start of the actual project. Moreover, each step in this method is dependent on the previous. Hence, iteration is an opportunity to reconsider the plan and adjust to reality for the next iteration. The essential reason as to why agile planning be done at the feature level rather than the task level is the shareholders and investors are capable of demanding changes or even w ithdraw ing their financial support to the project.
