the baseball catchers stops the ball approaching him with high velocity .since there sudden change in momentum in short amount of time there is a large force which might hurt the baseball player so it has padding to protect cathers hand .

there is net force acting on the box mgsin which cause a change in momentum ,it accelerates the box and velocity increases continously
