I think the healthcare costs should be decided by the free market. When healthcare is provided by the free market, it is most efficient and the dead weight loss is eradicated. When the government provides healthcare, it becomes an inefficient system and resources are miss-allocated. In a free market system, resources are optimally allocated and the benefit is maximized.
