Which is better under high load: 1-persistent CSMA or non-persistent CSMA? What about under low load? Why?
Homework Answers
For high loads, non-persistent CSMA give better performance since collisions are less likely to occur under high loads.
However, under low loads, 1-persistent CSMA gives better performance because waiting strategy in non-persistent CSMA does not give benefit when there are few users trying to transmit.
