Data may be defined as Unorganized facts about things, events, activities, and transactions.

Information is nothing but Data that has been organized into a specific context such that it has value to its recipient

Metadata may be defined as A lens through which data takes on specific meaning and yields information or in short data about data.

Raw facts are known as data and processed raw facts are called information.

Example:-

name, roll, age, class are data

L. Rajesh bearing Regd.No 6608857 of class 10 is information.

Data of data is called Metadata.
